Lace up those running shoes and get your running or walking partners together to form your own team for a great 5K run or walk at St. John’s Town Center on Saturday, October 8th. This annual fall event is growing each year so you don’t want to miss out on the fun you will have while helping your favorite charity to raise funds.

Held each spring and fall Hands on Jacksonville,The Rita Foundation and 1St Place Sports organizes The Human Race to benefit local non-profits by organizing teams for participating charities. The team captains, reach out to friends, neighbors or co-workers to join their team and challenges them to raise sponsors for $10 or $20 donation.

JT Townsend Foundation will have a tent set up to keep our participants hydrated and answer questions about how YOU can get involved. J.T. will be on hand to cheer your team to victory! Just visit The Human Race Online Registration Next, print out the two forms you will need to get started, Human Race Pledge Form 2011, and donor request letter Human Race-JTTF , come up with a creative team name and get to work. Prizes will be awarded to the most creative team as well as the team raising the most money. Checks should be made payable to The JT Townsend Foundation.
